    What's the price like?

Rather not spend so much on premium stuff now.

Price to be determined in a couple of weeks...it's based on the spot but certainly there's the usual premium applied on proof collector coins such as this.

I have a normal 2013 gold buffalo , may get this one depending on price/premium double proof will hold its value but most likely will increase , I think I saw a 2006 or 2007 Gold eagle double proof going for $3500 to $4000 somewhere.

I bought the 2013 gold Buff also...it's a beauty for sure I think you'll agree. In my opinion, a much sweeter coin that the gold Eagle. Gold may start a slow trend up later this year and that's why I will prob buy the reverse proof Buff sooner rather than later....you just never know exactly when they will stop sales.

    Thanks Northern,

The pic of the Buff is actually not a good pic at all. I'm nearly certain that the coin was in a display case and the photographer is not professional so you get a poor quality pic. I'll bet the actual coin is a real striking gem of a coin to see when photographed the right way.

The Eagle looks nice...too bad I knew nothing about the value of buying pm coins prior to the early Fall of 2012.

may I know how does the tiered pricing works?

Say if the Buffalo-RP is priced at $1600 on 8 August (assuming tier 5). One week later gold spot plunges and now the Buffalo-RP is priced at $1500 (assuming it fell to tier 4).

Is our purchase price locked-in the moment we place our order? Does that means buyers who submitted their orders in 1st week will be purchasing the Buffalo-RP cheaper than those who submitted their orders late?

I am interested in getting my first gold proof coin... need to understand the pricing structure better. :) thanks.

Yes, price locked in at time of order. If you have a very good hunch that gold will drop a tier you may want to hold off to make the purchase to see if your hunch was right...you might save a little or a lot depending on how many coins you buy at that time.

Since these Buffs are minted to order, you have plenty of leeway time if you think gold will sink further.

thanks mmissinglink, let's see what is the market trend in August.

I got a feeling the sales window will be opened for 1 month (just like 2013 ASE 2 coin set), but I really hope they put a mintage to it instead of mint to order.

I doubt the U.S. Mint will put a mintage on the rp buff's. They will let customers buy as many as they want.
