    are you sure steve?

I have others with longer tails, so I counted that out.

Well, according to the table there are only long tails in 1893. Unless you have a new "Type IV"

    ype Reverse Obverse Production Range
    I Short Tail Large Head 1887 - 1890
II Short Tail Small Head 1887 - 1891
III Long Tail Small Head 1891 - 1893

In the 2013 McDonald they do list a 'new find' with a medium tail all other 1893m listed with long tails. Cant pick it but its not short. Need a 30x and light. good luck!

    good morning all,

It appears that my 1893 M may indeed be a medium tail --

In the 2013 McDonald they do list a 'new find' with a medium tail - but no apx. valuation.

Ok, fine, sounds exciting so far.

This means I don't give this one away for bullion value.

My question is ------------ how can I get some idea of value? Also, can anyone suggest how to contact a sov. expert for confirmation please.
