Thanks, it ain't fancy...but that cast iron mold shape was pretty unique. It weighs out to 10.23 troy ozs ( Well, 10.26 to be exact...but it seems like ALL my old pours are a little over what they are actually stamped at...so I will stamp this one 10.23 ) , and I actually have the pouring for THIS bar on video
As mentioned buffalos are slightly cheaper. Also I personally don't like having to weigh out each ounce and risk having my bars be off by a couple grams. That happens now when using standard 1 oz rounds. It's really all preference!
I also plan to start filming my pours very soon. I've attached my Gopro to my welding helmet which gives a very cool first person view. Still editing the video but here's a screenshot.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz & buzz! Suggestion? It appears you're still in the early stages of the site, but would be nice to eventually see approximate dimensions listed in the product descriptions. Would be a big help to potential buyers. Thanks! And awesome work!
YPS uses 999+ silver shot. In the early days, he messed around a little with Maples.. Ag & Au.. I think he might still do a little custom work in gold, but doesn't sound like he's entirely fond of pouring Au. Could be wrong, though.
I think it's the same in the US as when I bought a roll of 1964 half dollars there was a tax on top of the coin price not being bullion
All depends on the dealer to be honest. I've been to about 5 coin dealers and a few shows and only one dealer charged me sales tax. All comes down to ethics I suppose.
Have you considered stamping these on the other side, instead, in order to show off more of the awesome swirling on top?
Got back to the shop today, did some 10 oz and 5 oz loaf style bars today... here is one of the 10 oz bars .
