So where are all the series 1 lunar coins ??

    There were over 110,000 1oz dragons sold in 2000 (according to the slides done by GP), and similar numbers of snakes etc.

    Yet you do not see these around very often (ebay, dealers etc)

    Coins with much lower mintages are as common as muck... eg: some years of $200 gold coins are only 5000 or so, but they are quite common

    So where are all the dragons, snakes etc ????

    Have a lot of them been melted at some point ?
    Is somebody, somewhere in the world just sitting on a massive stack of them ?
    Are they all overseas ?

    I'd say every serious coin collector in the world had a go at the first series.

    But melted? Have a laugh!
