Im in a village in head hunter territory in Sarawak yesterday celebrating Chinese new year and going through some antique photo albums. Some pics going back before the gold rush in Bau ( all black and whites ) and strike me with lightning after 2 hours of going through them like an epiphany what do I see. I shit you not ... behold 2mm thick silver coiled wire in the photo albums book spines having a good inch and a half diameters. Maybe ball park 5 foot lengths if straightened out. The natives adorned themselves had silver wire type jewelry. Oh well use whats plentiful and cheap at the time I guess. One just never knows what will rock up. Blew me away!. :D . Going back on the 29th and ill take a snap.
