AS LONG AS WE DON'T BREAK $21 WITH HIGH VOLUME, WE GO TO $18 SOONER THAN LATER.

It is an exercise in price prediction when two variables are involved.

  11. Given the falling AU dollar and the indications of silver rising I still think, all jokes aside, that this was a pretty good call. Bold, certainly, but based on sound reasoning IMHO.
Perhaps it will still pan out.
Meanwhile I am helping keep the tar hot and I've plucked all my chickens. :D

Funny how people look at the same things and interpret them differently. Looking at the hourly chart for silver, I see down. Looking at the hourly chart for AUD, I see neutral to slightly positive. So my conclusion is for the opposite of what Sammy has forecast. It will be interesting to see the result.

You might want to put some tar on the chickens. Without their feathers, they will get cold. :D

As you naysayers are preparing for the tar and feathering, don't expect any vaseline when I'm proved right. Your squealing will be heard across the country!

Let's wait for the RBA announcement before you get out the tar and feathers!

the 0.25% is already factored into the AUD the only way you could be right is a 0.5 - 0.75 % drop aka something unexpected

A taxi driver yesterday told me almost exactly the same as Sammy about the AUD.

Everybody and their dog is on that trade, which usually mean they're wrong.

  18. The definition of hedging.
Vaseline in one hand and hot tar in the other.
This should be interesting to watch anyway.
Breaks up the monotony a bit.

  19. Yeah, taxi driver chat is always a good indicator of where current events are heading.
Pick the exact opposite of what they are saying and the hit rate is pretty darn good. :)
I'd still bet for a win and a place on this one though.
I still believe it's only a matter of time.

  20. Ah, I dunno.
A 25 point cut, even if widely expected, would still give the AUD a fair thrashing I expect.
