Has anyone got any advice or experience prospecting for silver? I have family with land in the Rye park area of NSW. sort of near the Wallah Wallah Silver Mine. A lot of the farms on all sides have old silver mines on them from the 1800's. there land might have had a small open cut operation on it at some stage. Looking through old maps and things we swept an area that looked unnatural and found a heap of old hand made nails. How is silver found in ore form and could there be a scrap pile worth picking through with modern tech to get something? If i could get enough to cast a small ingot or round and stamp it with the family/farm name it would make an excellent gift for them
