I am with Gatito Bandito, I also bought a variety of 1oz coins for my niece. She loves horses so I got her a set of the PM lunars 0.5oz to 1kg. I am hoping she is not going to part with them any time soon.
I also got her SML, Libertads, Crocks, Phils, Nuies and others.

For myself I have a couple hundred SML and I don't really care that much if they develop spots, they are just bullion coin. I got RCM collector pieces which I do value much and hope they will not develop any spots, but I guess it is somewhat of a gamble.

If you see them as just a bullion coin why didn't you buy something cheaper? About $400 difference between 200 Maples and 200 Buffalo rounds.

Well I live in Canada and the SML is easily available to me at LCS. But more importantly to me, I want coin with the Queen on one side, in case she dies these coins may appreciate a bit. So I am gambling on that, and sure it cost a little more than a dumb bar, generic round or some US silver coin.
