The dealer I have regularly been buying through also reflects his prices live (screen refresh shows it as well). Plug for Ossie from BullionMoney. He is a Sydney guy based in St. Leonards. Anyone who moves their price according to spot is O.K in my book. :)

wow, you'd think they'd at least have some Perth Mint coins of some sort. Got cleaned out maybe?

    edit

well their pdf pricelist is quoting prices for some coins at least.

I wonder what would be harder to source at the moment ... 100kg of silver or 100kg gold? .... Either way price discovery based on supply and demand is not in effect at the moment :) .... I wonder if there will ever be a complete disconnect between the physical and paper markets...

Yea your right on we have had a few rally's in the USD recently which is quite normal but the long trend will continue to be downward i believe. There were also reports that U.S senetors proposed position limits on crude which could have had the effect last night.

/waits for Bob Chapman to come out telling everybody it was a takedown by the bankers again

It's actually much harder to source 100kg of gold if you want to take immediate delivery. Much, much harder!
I didn't try to source 100kg but I was optimistic of snaring at least a kilo of gold for a reasonable premium. No such luck!
Over the course of two days trudging around Sydney the best deal I could find was cast 1oz and 2oz 999 fine gold bars for 2% above spot whereas I can supply the PM minted 1oz bars inside a sercuricard for about 4%
If you can wait it looks like it will take up to 8 weeks for silver bars and about 2 weeks for gold bars for that sort of quantity.

Jordan is a Monarchy not an out and out dictatorship. The Jordanians love the King there and would never look to overthrow him. The majority of the population that are Palestinian may be another story but would get slaughtered by the military in a way far worse than what is happening in Syria...... PLO in the 70's ring a bell? IMO The Hashemite family is the best thing that ever happened to Jordan for many reasons.

The faster they get done with Libya the faster they start bombing Syria..... Who would that leave in the middle east without a true democracy? Maybe it was Iran they were after all along lol.

As someone sitting on the sidelines waiting to get into Silver I am hoping for a short freefall myself..... Just long enough for me to get in ;)

    Cheers

    Chris

Gold isn't as easy to source as everyone thinks it is. Everyone is hoarding it.
I have no problems ordering a kilo or two immediately from the Perth Mint with an expected lag of two weeks but trying to buy physical immediately at a reasonable price is another matter.
A member that everyone knows on this forum asked me a fortnight ago whether it was possible to fly to Sydney and do a COD for $100,000 worth of gold bars at a reasonable premium.
I fired off without checking first that if he gave me a week's notice, I should have no problems sourcing it for him at a 3% premium.
Anyway since my shelves were bare and I had lots of free time available, I decided to stock up.
The very best deal I have found anywhere has been 2% above spot for bars and in limited quantities. Only managed to pick up less than $20,000 worth last week searching all around Sydney.
