My wife got a 1966 silver coin as change, ever happed to anybody else?
It doesn't look or feel anything like a 20 cent piece! Not even the same size!

Checkout chick was a young, so probably had never seen one before.
Weird it ever got into circulation.

    edit:
    In pretty good shape.

Have yet to find one myself but a good few here have received them in their change. One member went back to the shop and found that they had 9 more in the till... bought them all for $1 or something each. Tell your wife to do the same, might be in luck :)

35m+ went into circulation but a significant amount were melted down, have ended up in Sammysilvers hoard or lying around in the grandparents attic. I'm sure there's still a reasonable amount floating about... but nearly 50 years of sharp eyed noodlers and Stackers picking them out makes it a whole less likely of coming across one.
