    Seeking DIY superannuation case studies

Looking for everyday Australians who either:
    - Have a SMSF (self-managed superannuation fund)
    - Regularly review theirown superannuation with a view to optimising their return
    - Have a good superannuation tip to share.

We're looking for real-life stories for case studies to be shared with metro, regional and local media to underpin a major superannuation campaign.

    Deadline: 5pm Monday 22 October.

    Who are you exactly?

You're asking for some potentially sensitive information.

...and we also wonder how people could be so stupid when we see stories in the MSM about people who gave out private information about their finances to some random stranger on the internet.

Hey, this could be a legitimate query but there are no names, details are scant and there is apparently a tight "deadline" for people to step forward and share details about their personal financial situation.

Even if I wasn't a precious metals investor I'd be wary of an approach like this one.

Approach is potentially wrong but it is a legitimate enquiry.

never completely trust a first poster who wants something or to sell something imo.
If they were/are professional then they would explain themselves better.

There are a few great threads here already. Some started a few years ago. Start with this one.

    Hi there,

Further to my post earlier - we are looking after the PR for a campaign encouraging Australians to take control of their super and calling for increased regulation of the industry. It launches to media later this week, so you can understand the need for confidentiality at this stage.

If anyone would like to share their story about why they started a SMSF, or their experience, please message me and we can provide further details and answer any questions you might have.

Due the confidential nature of the campaign, we cannot provide details as to who our client is on a forum. Further to that, we will not require specific financial information - the case studies we are seeking are more from a human interest perspective as to why/how you started a SMSF.

    Thanks.

I would be cautious providing support for any type of "increased regulation". Gov regulation tends to cause more problems than it solves.
