Scottsdale New 10 oz bars

It was posted some weeks back that Scottsdale had ceased the 10 oz stakers.

Here is their new 10 oz bar.Note sure what to think about them?

I think the new design is nice. At least they got rid of the "in god we trust"

would be better if the lion was in the centre of the reverse, looks a bit unbalanced up in the corner =P

 

they look ugly now... kinda similar to the Morgan bars... ewww (

 

why would they cease the design? it is a successful product

Looks like a pretty sharp contemporary design to me. The off set Lion looks like a Sun radiating "rays" that say Reserve. Not the normal stuff, nicely done.

Premiums look pretty darn hot for Scottsdale too.

 

Forgot to comment that I do miss the In God We Trust on this bar, guess it's on a variety of items. Having the Lord to trust in is something freeing --- but if you don't and that statement causes problems for you I guess just buy a generic then.

Good for a company to not have to play politically correct and stand up for what they believe. Subtle yet strong.

 

I really like this design, and hope, if spot falls, to purchase a couple.

As for "In God We Trust", personally, I hate it on a coin.

I'm an atheist and LOVE silver.

But not trying to start a debate. Just saying that I do not trust Her!

I like the side with the lion and radiating "reserve" rays. I think the other side is rather drab and I'm not sure why they are featuring a non-SS logo.

 

Reserve what ? Nice enough bar but what are they reserving ? If it is a play on fractional banking I think they are defeating themselves by association with the term. If it does refer to fiat currency but they are backing an alternative in silver the association still sticks. I might be missing the point but I wont be buying them.

Yeah picked up a couple of these last week, they look pretty good but there aren't too many bars that can match the old stacker designs

 

I prefer the old stacker design but I'm glad they got rid of the "In god we trust" tag.

 

I only need a few more 10Oz stackers to complete that part of my stack, will have to see what I can pick up when the time comes to get more
