Barcelona had 1.2 million marching in the streets for an independent Catalonia a week or two back, from memory.

Kind of like the rest of the world finding their own after the US started crying "TERRORISM!"

If an independent Scotland has oil to support itself, it would be wise to be offering agreeable exports.

I saw something on TV too...

Which reminds me of Basque Country, Northern Ireland. They wanted to break away a long time ago. But, they sort-of remained in the background now for some reason...

Scotland could immediately drag Northern Ireland, Catalonia and Basque Country along...

    I just watched the video...

Did I hear that right? Scotland wants to get rid of the UK's nuclear weapons?

Funny: what if Scotland keeps them and they become a NUCLEAR POWER?

I like how they put a negative connotation to the 'Yes' vote, rather than just stating the referendum.

    Bookmaker's odds update:

    Nay to Independence
    Paying ~$1.20
    Implied probability: ~83%

    Yay to Independence
    Paying ~$4.30
    Implied probability: ~23%

*Yes, the implied probability adds up to 106%. Thats the bookmaker edge/margin.

    Scotland votes 'NO' to Independence.

Result is now a mathematical certainty: the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland will remain just that, United, at least in the immediately future.

That's a damn shame. Still, I think the idea of secession is taking hold, we just need one to succeed and in the age of social media it will get round pretty fast.
