Glad to hear you sorted this out without a battle. I ALWAYS weigh gold coins with a precise electronic scale. During the past 3 years I have obtained 2 fake sovereigns and returned them without problem after providing good data to the seller. Fakes tend to be marginally underweight but also thicker as you discovered. Terrific about the year though !
