Hi all, Been lurking about the site on and off for a couple of weeks before actually joining. I'm new to silver and have started a small collection of (mostly) 1oz Maples, Britannias, Pandas and a couple of Eagles, mainly because silver seems very cheap at the moment and, long term, can only rise I think. I'm in it for the long-term so not too bothered about short term gains/losses as I see my eventual collection ultimately paying for my grandsprogs education or similar. I've also found, to my amazement, that I really enjoy looking at a beautifully made silver coin. Ideally I'd like to collect complete 'series' or 'sets' from the various Mints but by getting in from the start rather than back-buying coins to complete a collection. I have started with the Perth Mint 'Stock Horse' but it seems that quite a few people here are underwhelmed by it so maybe not a good start. Anyway, happy to be here and if I can pick up any tips then that's a bonus but always find the forums interesting. Many thanks. Walty.
