    Become a plumber.

    Because everything is being outsourced.

We all know what is in front of us, Das just repeated what we have read and watched 100 times over the past 5 years.

The ONLY ones that will survive are the ones who are preparing NOW!

That is why we are stacking.

Watching it now and just got to the plumber bit. I agree with him 100% and would give the same advice.

Additionally, being a tradie with your own business in Australia also has significant tax advantages over a PAYG employee.

I dunno, if we keep selling off Australian property to the rest of the world, we can keep building and building and building. With a bit of effort we can have the place looking like a Mumbai slum in no time... wall to wall humans all demanding their bit.

He could be slightly off with the builders as well if 3D printed homes become a relatilty sooner than we think, but there will always be vested interests which will oppose new technology.

I think his comment that we are going to 'downsize' our expectations and standard of living are certainly inevitable.

A TV etc in every room, a 600 litre fridge and 3 cars is simply not sensible, especially in a first home.

True... but will it take you by surprise now? Can you now prepare emotionally?
A mentor of mine once told me the 1st rule of Management is # No Surprises #
I was coming to him with bad news all the time and apologised for warning him of impending failures etc.
He said we can't stop bad things from happening, but we CAN stop them being surprises and taking us off guard.
The more warning we have, the more able we are to prepare to meet these challenges head-on... or dodge them.

    Here's another great Martenson vid.
