S1 Lunar 3 proof set box - Price check

    Hi Guys,
    I know that this can be a long shot.. but I wonder if these will go down in price as the spot dips?I've seen these in fleeBay for $3500-$4000 mark. They are less than 1500 mintage (approx). Can anyone give me an idea of what these will go with the spot doing the free-fall.

    Would be largely dependent on the year - you can't say all s1 sets are worth the same

    The spot price will have pretty much zero effect on the price of these. They've long passed into numismatic territory.

    Sorry bull_bear, I should've mentioned Au in the topic.
    BB - if looking at the Au content/price of this 3 set, ie. 1.35oz/$1900-$2000, then we're looking at $2400-2600 premium here.. Very high for premium to pay here... but is it valid? I guess it is more to demand and supply chain...

    what spot does atm that no one is buying high value proof sets.that is why(desperate) sellers lower the price to get $ back or just to make a sale. like BB mentioned it the s2 proof set is going for $3600 so the s1 with less mintage and years behind should be going for more...but unfortunately that is not the case...btw,which year do u have?

    Hmm, not long ago spanner shared that Peter Strich was selling the S1 Lunar 3 proof gold set (Mouse and Ox) for around 2800 AUD each.

    Wonder if they are still there or have sold.
