Anyone with thoughts//opinions on this one. A relative will be travelling to St. Petersberg...would this be a good opportunity for me to acquire an authentic 2012 silver St. George? Are there any special customs fees or restrictions on exporting silver bullion from Russia? Would it be easier to just order this coin from a dependable vendor?

Talk to VRS. He has Russian contacts, and has some older St Georges in stock. ;)

I think the series ended (maybe temporarily?) in 2010. No 2011 coins were minted. I read somewhere that the mint decided to concentrate on minting olympics themed coins
