Just checking out the site and there is a new round that seems to be for members only. If anyone can get some of these then I'll be up for 2. Cheers
I was waiting to see what special coin they would come up with. Much better than the Andean Cat, but not near as nice as the Macaw.
I really like the Macaws - I think this special coin is actually pretty nice. Mostly I'd be getting it to fill out the collection but it's always nice to like the silver as well.
The coin above is a new version ( havent seen it before ) of 10 Dirhams - A few Malaysian states ( Kelantan & Perak ) have minted theirs. Even in the background of the number 1 on the reverse it shows features of the Malaysian flag. Also, i think it is 'only' 29.75 grams silver 0.9564 oz asw ( this opinion is based on 1 Dirham = 2.975 grams asw ) but Royal Silver could have made them out of 1 oz. And lastly, the image in the centre of the obverse is the Bismillah, the opening verse from the Holy Quran meaning "In the Name of God, The Most Beneficent and The Most Merciful " and there is also the year AH 1432 If anyone has 1 or 2 they would like to sell , than please PM me
Pretty sure you are right about the weight, I was reading info about the coin and was surprised it wasn't 1 Troy ounce. I've got first dibs on any for sale
I think it is a coin which is issued when investing in membership. Cost per membership begins at $5000.00 Anyone interested. I will gather more information for you. regards Maggie
Someone mentioned that John ( Stella ) gets them as "interest" on his silver 'bonds' with Royal Silver, which makes me think that Brian got most of the funding from Islamic Banks as Shariah compliant loans ( Otherwise why coin Dirhams ?? ) The weight of 29.75 asw was the weight of the Dirhams that were minted during the time of the 4 Rightly Guided Khaliphs ( around 700 AD ), and Muslim Scholars have started to slowly remind their followers to return to Sound Money and they also quote a saying of the Prophet pbuh Abu Bakr ibn Abi Maryam reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say: "A time is certainly coming over mankind in which there will be nothing which will be of use save a dinar and a dirham." (The Musnad of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal)
I believe this 10 Dirham will sell better in China, with a Chinese version rather than a Malaysian version.
more like 1 world government message? which bring chaos, ordo ab chao like the "new world order" silver thing?
Correct - there are at least 3 issues with the coin * First line on top is One Worldly * Also the line on the bottom of the coin wouldnt be Shariah compliant imo - To Create, to Preserve, and to Prosper - for creation and preservation are Godly attributes, and it is only He that has such powers, and not silver dirhams * The price at which the coin is being sold is around $85 which is DOUBLE the price of a 'normal' coin of higher weight/lower purity, and the Ruler who initially commissioned the makings of such coins in the 8th Century AD ( this modern 10 Dirham is a modern 'restrike' of that ancient coin ) would himself advised against the purchase of this coin. I like it due to the Islamic Calligraphy on the Obverse -
Agree with all this except your first point - to me it reads as more of a plea for everyone to just get along as we only have one planet and we have to share it.... I didn't read it as One-Worldly at all - maybe that's just me
Correct again - I read it in the same way as well, however when something that has 2 meanings appears for the mass market, if it has 2 meanings than both meanings apply. Otherwise, they could have restructured the sentence and get rid of one of the meanings - but they didnt and mistakes like this dont happen in those places where the decisions over the design are made. The message carries both meanings.
