Royal Engagement: Is this the ugliest commemorative coin ever minted ?

    Is it just me or is this coin design really horrible? Why does William look like Al Gore & what's wrong with Kate's eyes ? She kinda has that questioning look: Does this mean we can afford our own flat now Willy ? Not until I get my hair transplant Middlebums !

    The positioning of the female in this coin with respect to the male, is also different to any other commemorative wedding coin i have seen.

    I've recently picked up some UK 1981 Royal Wedding commemoratives, they make the

    design above look like the work of Michaelangelo.

    Bought for under spot makes them attractive to me though.

    Sometimes ugly is nice. (Hat tip Bill Cosby)

    The pronounced adam's apple on the coin made me laugh. You're right, it's a horrific abomination.

    Her nose is off centre and it looks like she's copped a right cross or two, maybe a knee. Also the ABBA profile shot isnt a winner
