Hi all, long time lurker here, however I thought this was worthy enought to warrant a post. Found a letter in the mail today advertising the Royal Melbourne Hospital Home Lottery. I'm sure most people know the concept: buy a ticket and (maybe) win a home and in the process raise funds to buy equipment etc for the hospital. What caught my eye however, was the early bird prize being offered: the choice of a BMW convertible or $100,000 in gold bullion! Interesting to note: there is an ability to vote and comment on the prizes on the main page. At the time I checked, the bullion had received 88 votes compared to 46 for the home. Can it be real? Precious metals are more desirable than real estate? http://vote.rmhhomelottery.com.au/3/ Also, someone needs to point out to whoever's in charge of the website that $100,000 of gold is a lot smaller than the pile shown in the picture
