Hi there, would anyone be able to recommend an accurate and reliable brand/model of digital scales and caliper to use alongside the Sigma Original PMV? Sigma do sell a starter kit including scales and caliper, however someone in another thread suggessted I try and pick these up locally and save some cash. Thanks in advance.
Caliper, just get it from Bunnings…digital scales, if want to be accurate, get the one with different modes..ie. oz, grams,KG,etc etc..should be easy find in any online jewellery suppliers..the cheapest will give you crappy accuracy…. I mostly use this local SYD site https://www.jewellerssupplies.com.au/category/1589-measuring-gauges-scales-balances I’m not endorsing site, just an example
I love my Sigma.... These scales have served me well... ORIA Pocket Scale, 200g/0.01g Digital Mini Scale, Precision Scale with Tare and PCS Function, LCD Backlit, Portable Food Scale for Cooking, Jewelry (50g Calibration Weight Included)- Green https://amzn.asia/d/iK8lUB9
Thanks for your input everyone. I’m only going to buy stuff that I am familiar with for the time being. But also wanting to set myself up with some tools so I can test what I buy and gain confidence to buy interesting or older stuff in the future.
