    I m a i n l y use (old-school) full-blockchain QTs. Anyone wanna practice 're-building' one from a saved dat file? We'll use an almost-dead coin.

    And paper wallets?

I just want a little more practice with this.

'you want some help doing this?'

Thanks so much for the offer. Let me puddle along. Then I may ask.

Also wanna move to a paper-wallet-based storage system for My Fave Coin

And why I'm not familiar with this is a long and embarassing story. But the first time I got it r
right -- deleted the 'empty' dat file that came with the download, and smoodged in my own dat file -- it was very satisfying.

suggest you swap everything to a 12 word phrase, very easy to setup a paper wallet address. https://bitcoinpaperwallet.com/

happy to help if you have any questions on either.

using qt just backup your wallet.dat file and replace it with the one in users\default\appdata\roaming\yourcoin directory assume you are using windows.

I have a multi-multi-coin PW generator in my downloads. Done a few practice runs. But not quite ready to put big chunks of coin into pw's.

OMG OMG!! I got almost all of it right. Downloaded the SPN wallet. Bought some SPN. Sent it to the wallet. Pulled the wallet.dat file out. Played around with it -- couldn't actually build a new one from a Notepad file -- next time.

This included copying the dat file to a usb; deleting the dat file on the desktop; then bringing the dat file back from the usb. Fired it up. It worked. The balance is there.
