I believe there will be a time that physical precious metals will be 'rare' to be found because those who have them will not sell them. Bullion dealers - like Jaggards starts to sell their rarer coins and bars much higher than the spot. When spot came down, prices for those rarer coins/bars were not adjusted. If you think US$2K per oz of gold is expensive, there will be time that you can't afford to buy at all.
I think that in our time if not sooner the gold price will double easily-forget super or real estate ....
I'm unsure as they rarely come up for sale. Ebay has 1 for $580 I think. But like a lot of things it depends on getting it advertised to the rite people then it is really how much they want the coin if they need it to complete their collection.
