    Up to which date did they double seal the regular issue pandas?

    Actually there was only a small number that were DS'd in 2006 (apparently 20k) so many would say 2005 was the official end to doing it as they may not be aware of this.

    Found this- http://china-mint.info/forum/index.php?topic=8963.0

    Also, a dealer can ask a mint to DS them so it's not necessarily an indication that it's a fake. I remember seeing one on here that was DS'd and a fairly recent year. Not sure of the outcome on that as he was unsure of its authenticity

    I have the 2002-2005 DS pandas. I'm thinking if I should get them graded by NGC.
    If they are MS69/70 it would be good, but otherwise the value would be the same.

    Hmm. I did not know that info. Good information to have. I just picked up an 09' 08' 07' 03'. the 89' that I bought was slightly toned a very light purple around the edge. The '03 and 89' were double sealed, plus I was just curious.

    If I were a general collector, I would want them still double sealed. Some do, and some don't I guess?

    House, from reading the china-mint info, it says that the mints had different "pouch" designs around the edges? can you clarify?

    Think they're referring to how different mints had different patterns on the edge to identify where the coin came from as there's no mintmark;
