    Hi,

A dealer is selling the nice proof Gold Buffalo coins dated 2009, 2010, 2015, all are in the beautiful wooden box (seen below).

Price is around 1,600 USD for the 2009 and 2010 versions, but for some reason the 2015 variant costs 1995 USD!!!

I'm eyeing the 2009, 2010 versions, just because they're beautiful.

What do you think? Is this a good buy?

Im not sure what the market is like for those but seems high to me. I always buy secondary market stuff for close to spot and try to avoid those premiums and collector case coins in proof.
SDbullion has secondary 1/4 oz gold coins for $4.99 over spot right now. Good fractional size of different varieties and maybe easier to sell later on.
I have bought the silver buffalo rounds in the past but they are considered generic and dont carry much premium, less than 50 cents usually. They are just ounces for me and nothing more, stacked away with my bars.

    Boyscout and 66rounds like this.
