I have 6 rolls of silver solder from years ago

    500g rolls
    99% tin
    0.3% Silver
    0.7% Copper

If my cals are correct each roll contains

    495g tin x 6 = 2.97kg
    35g copper x 6 = 210g
    15g silver x 6 = 90g

Is it worth the bother to get this refined or should I sell it for its spot weight?

    Thoughts?

I can't imagine it would be worth refining for 7 ozt of silver. What is it worth in it's current state as solder?

Edit: damn, should have checked the maths

    .3% of 500g is 1.5g so 6 rolls gives you 9g silver.

    Not worth it IMO. :)

Probably better off selling the solder on ebay and then buying silver with the profits :)

I reckon even Yellowcake has a higher percentage of the active ingriedent than your silver solder.

0.3% Ag- leave it in there and use as SOLDER only
