Just bought a 2012 1oz gold panda. I know they come in a sealed plastic sleeve but I prefer the capsules. Is it wise to take the coin out of the plastic sleeve and rehouse it?

Bugger, that's a shame, they look so much nicer in capsules. See your point though.

So many on youtube putting them in capsules, guess I won't be one of them. Don't want to devalue it.

Have you seen how many of those videos have a similar comment saying don't take them out?

I think I will take the advice of this forum and leave them sealed. Will arrive tomorrow and can't wait, they look so nice even though bought well above spot.

Haha be careful of who you watch on youtube, not all are experts. unlike the learned keepers of the Pandas round here!

Definitely do not remove them from OMP!! Why do they remove them, scared of damaging the coin? They can easily be as damaged in a capsule how YOU handle them is the key.
