Guys, can you help with a price check on the below 2oz bullion coins.

I've got the following price ranges in mind for the series 2 but I'd appreciate you having a look and advising.

    Mouse: $450 - $550
    Ox: $140 - $160
    Tiger: $100 - $110
    Rabbit: $70 - $75
    Dragon: $63 - $68
    Snake: $60 - $65
Horse: $57 - $62 (when we get stocks of them again)

I would imagine the latter coins (Horse, Snake, maybe even Dragon) would be elastic to spot and the former quite inelastic. So let's reference spot at $22.80 for the latter coins, at the time of my post.

Edit: Bottom range of Rabbits adjusted up due to feedback

You got it almost right for all the years apart from the Rabbit, not sure where this can be found for $60 ?

When you look for completed sales prices on the bay, make sure you have a look at the shipping cost as it can vary from free up to $10 or $15 and this obviously have an impact on the sale price

Yeah, I hear you Argentum and I originally had the Rabbits at a range of $65 - $75 but after reviewing Holdfast's e-bay link and seeing them for sale from $64.50, I thought we may see them slightly cheaper on here. Looks like we may need to adjust that range up a tad. Thanks for pointing out the variance in shipping costs Kam.

The Dragons seem like the best investment at this price at the moment?

Given the ridiculousness of the prices, would it make more sense to collect the 2oz proofs instead?

Thanks for the feedback Credit Crunch. I've got 1 or 2 of these 2 oz coins and certainly makes me feel more confident my coins are worth more.

Do the 2oz and bigger coins hold better premium overtime in comparison to the 1 oz?
Id be sticking with pandas, kooks and lunar from here on in and was wondering which lunar is the best to collect.

I guess it depends on the final mintage. the 1oz Lunars are capped at 300,000 so I try and get a few of them, but so does everyone else. The others aren't capped so I don't think anyone tries too hard to get them and there isn't a sense of urgency to pick any up.

I only get the current issues at issue price, I won't try and go back to buy any on the secondry market as a lot of the profit has already been made and I am too lazy to buy and sell.

Especially with regard to the 2oz mouse. $250 per ounce of silver bullion seems a tad expensive but it seems the going rate. Some would say Even more than $250.....

    2oz mouse BU = At least $450

    2oz mouse PROOF = ~$160

I think that says it all. :p

I would rather collect the different sizes of a particular than same size of different years, the other 2oz coins can still be popular on a different context :)
