I have been making some calls to insurance companies/brokers in relation to PM insurance.
Wanted to find out how much insurance is to weigh up if it is worthwhile or not.

After numerous calls I was unable to find anyone who would insure PM's and none of them
could point me to someone who would.

Does anyone have insurance on their stack and if so who do you use?
Does anyone know who provides such insurance?

It is insured the same way cash is I believe.

IE: Insuring the contents of a safe by its 'cash safety rating'.

Safe insured and the safe was $10,000 rated, then you get $10,000 in the case of theft irrelevant of the contents.

You'd have to find an insurer that follows this protocol though. Seems too easy for the insurance companies to get scammed this way (fake thefts etc.).

You can get it on your home contents insurance too if its not too much. Most will only add coins but NOT precious metal bars.
So you list your 2010 gold 1 oz kangaroos and a price of them plus your Kookaburras.. It may not be the cheapest but it is quick and easy to get some coverage for a
    recently bought stack of coins.

    AAMI do it.
