I sit in amazed awe at 5000 ozs! All hail the prolithic stacker!!! (have to re-think my targets - again)

The kg bars are still not available on their website. Wonder what gives with that.

5000 ozs. Jesus. That's 155.5 kilos! Thats all my kids plus the wife! Where do you keep it? Not in a safe in the roof that's for sure - the ceiling would collapse!!

Wow. Do you have a Self Managed super fund? I've been thinking of setting up one of those and putting all of my employer's super contributions into physical silver. I hear its a lot of paperwork but may be worth it considering the alternative is to let someone else invest it poorly.

You must get a smsf read the ato site and plenty of good info on silver stackers , we had to change accountants as the one we had said it wasn't a good idea ,. This accountant thinks the super is ours so long as we don't break ato rules ,plenty of scope for investment alternatives a bit of paperwork ,easier than buying a house , do it the money's yours

Yeah. I've been thinking of this too. My "choices" in my current fund all include shares, both domestic and foreign. I expect the share market to be a worse roller coaster than silver to ride, so I tried to opt out but no luck.

I've become more "earnest" when the suggestions about super funds "investing" in infrastructure started floating about. "Voluntarily" of course. Rather like the US funds "choose" to invest in T notes. If I'm going to lose all my super due to poor choices, than I'd rather it was lost by an expert (me) rather than some cog in Canberra!
