I thought it might be shill bids but then I looked at the bidding history and there were so many different people bidding so I think that may rule that theory out Funny times now that silver has hit mainstream
It could be " a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush " scenario ..people could be aniticipating a sharp spike because of the greece debarcle or some other pending event . And a lot of people feel secure with PM bars for whatever reason . I have seen 10 oz bars on ebay for over $900 , and i could`nt believe somebody would pay that , but " hey " its all good for the bigger picture ... !!! I personally dont pay more for certain bars , its all silver to me ...
Like I said in the other post. There is no shill/fake bids here. We have no reason to when we are happy selling the bars on our website for almost half that price! I feel sorry for the buyer to be honest. Will have to throw in a couple oz coins for him/her so my conscious is clear
...people make their own choices , and the buyer has elected to win the auction at that price , so i dont feel sorry for him and nor should you ...
Heaps of paperwork ect to become a Perth Mint trader. People who just want one bar wouldnt bother because Perth Mint can be very expensive on postage and insurance if you live on the other side of the country. From Perth mint to Queensland I have actually paid over $700 on shipping and insurance on a 20 kilo shipment. I recently swapped 4 Perth Mint 10 ounce bars for 40 eagles Fair enough swap I thought at the time. At that time I seen a 10 ounce PM bar go down on Ebay for $508 + postage. Thats ok but at this above price I begin to wonder if I should let any more 10 ounce bars go. Seems like Perth Mint bars are slowly turning to gold. lol

I made a point that Ossie should not feel badly that someone chose to pay the price they did , whether it be from peoples comments or for whatever reason . If he chooses to compinsate with a few coins ? then thats something i admire and probably something i would consider myself . "hiho" I am not a believer in leveraged paper trading or short selling of any kind and i have a disdain for Wall street because of the money they suck from the little person . You dont know me , and yet you chose to use an inaccurate and very offensive insult , i have put a lot of money in a lot of peoples pockets in my work , so dont preach to me about giving something away .
