I don't collect one ouncers, but the Croc is a value for money proposition. It is easily better than all of the Koala and some Kooks and is sold as a bullion coin, not a semi-numi.
When a new coin comes out, there's always a surge of people buying it initially. It doesn't necessarily mean that the same buying rate will continue for the rest of the year. Although, I do bet that these will sell out rather quick. Probably not as specially for anyone international other than being the first in the series, but for Aus, I believe it's their first cheaper bullion coin. I'm sure they're sick of paying a premium for ASE, maples, and philharmonics when some other countries (US) gets them for cheaper. This bullion coin levels the playing field a bit.
Spot on sammy. Its the first aussie made 1oz bullion coin with a low premium. Stackers have wanted this as a buying option for ages. 1million mintage is a bonus. Compare it to eagle and maple mintages.
I have some very nervous PAMP kilos in my personal stack that may find themselves being booted out in exchange for a monster box of these.
Monster boxes is the way to go. About $11k-$12k The seal is far important than its content, no one want to break the seals.
Lol. Hay, we live in the first world. So im allowed to have first world problems. U think u have problems, but dont know problems untill you've experienced sticker related problems.
Well, if you buy the Monster box, this problem shouldn't occur. Luckily Brown tape wasn't used. I will let them know in person. I am assured the rest of the dealers have notice yours complained. I hope they will improve with the packing.
i am surprised that it takes 2 months to sell out 1 million coin? (200 boxes) considering i hear people and dealers taking boxes and boxes? and the US and Europe have a more dense population
it is really not much 1 million since there are probably more than 1 million stackers in US and Europe....
does anyone know how many croc does the big US companies APMEX etc take per order from PM ? eg. lunars , kook , croc etc?
10 monster boxes would be standard for a big dealer like APMEX one would imagine. and looking at there website, looks like that's the case, they have 4757 croc's as I speak, suggesting they started with 5000 (10 monsters) have sold 243 croc's since putting 'em up.
Well they had 600 monster boxes of 1/2oz sharks a little while ago Most Australian dealers would have ordered at least 10-20 boxes.
