Normally I don't get into drawn out arguments on the net, but this one (http://seekingalpha.com/article/252785-silver-is-on-the-brink-of-a-breakout#comment-1470362) is a classic IMO. Some quotes: "The obvious conclusion is that the Perth Mint, like the rest of them establishment types, are LYING." "This is proof that you bankers' agents are witholding from the market what little silver you have left. You are in fact REFUSING to sell silver OR you DON'T HAVE any silver left to sell." "1000 oz bars are held for the most part by the filthy bankers and their subservient governments who will never tell the truth about their actual silver holdings." I told him to come here and ask the locals if they think the Perth Mint is refusing to sell silver. Doesn't seem to have taken me up on it. BTW, our new tonne press was being installed today. Soon we will be churning out those kilo silver coins that no one wants as per my knowledgeable friend.
Yup............what do you do The amount of lies out there gets tiresome. Bullshit flows all too freely. Every now and again a correction is in order all the same.
Thanks Bron There are some fanatical SHTFers out there. Perth Mint refuses to sell me silver ....... on the weekend. Never had any trouble during the week though. Are you getting that tonne press ready for our kg dragon orders? The germans can wait.
So if I like kilo coins, I'm not normal? Just keep up making the best looking coins in the world. (the dragons better be good)
Wow, that guy has his head up his arse and he has managed to make me feel like I'm a freak for not wanting to only purchase 100oz bars. Stupid and insulting, wonderful quality in a person, bet he does well in life.
This a frustrating thing and is in my bucket list of things that irritate me. The 'community' can say anything they like with little or few reprisals regarding mistruths. It is industry and their reputation that suffers as they are forced to justify itself to correct the lies that are easily spread and taken as gospel by the uneducated or those who canot be bothered to determine the truth for themselves. I have to regularly deal with people who have been agitated through either a lack of or misinformation all the time and it takes up too much of my time. Anyway... deep breath....
And it is for this reason, that I have stopped myself jumping 'All-In' to Silver. Dipping my toes first.
Hey Bron, offer to sell the guy a 8.16 tonne blob of molten silver at spot and see if that helps him understand the "production capacity" issue.
Ha. That same thing happens with any contentious issue, not just precious metals. You see it in threads here all the time.
That is my big problem. The misinformation can actually dissuade people from buying as well. In fact playing this up would be good for physical sales, but it would be dishonest.
You know what would be cool? Photo of a big phat warehouse-sized pile of 100oz silver bars on it with a sign saying "Do not sell to Art65" sitting on top and a Perth Mint sign somewhere in the background Consider it the 3rd C of the mint's social media policy: Collect Collate Collaborate - here Art65, we're collaborating
I'm going to see if I can get a youtube video of the new silver bar production line churning out 100oz bars. Security probably won't approve.
Well if the RCM will let a comedian into their warehouse vault... Skip to 1:10
Wow Bron, that must have been frustrating. I suspect Art65 may actually be correct in finding that nobody wants to sell to him, but that's less to do with supply and more to do with his need for methylphenidate... (Did I say that??)
It would make a great publicity video. No videos of 10oz bars being made please as certain forum members would be drooling too much.
As a Perth resident I would be willing to go and see your piles of silver and shiny new press. To verify to the interwebs its there
