how long will take for chinnese counterfiters to make black cards now. I think that perth mint gold bars and JM silver bars are the most faked on alibaba.
I have been doing some research on the Perth Mint Chief Assayer. Who is the Perth Mint Chief Assayer? Do anyone know?
Don't you think the new black perth mint ones don't have enough plastic? I mean the gold to plastic packaging ratio is out of whack! More plastic I say! The next version's 1 gram bar will likely have an A3 plastic casing! Excellent for the environment and the larger plastic packaging means more trustworthy, right?
To be honest, not much of an innovation in the newer Perth Mint certicards compared to the Veriscan technology in the newer Pamp Suisse gold bars. Would be cool if the swan had some sort of hologram technology to make it harder for the counterfeiters.
I will be in touch with them soon. Straight to the Refinery. http://www.perthmint.com.au/refinery-history.aspx
I think that sounds great, so they are ultra difficult to lose and so you don't get tempted to put them in a safety deposit box. 1for1
CertiCard seems to be a registered trademark of Certiline company. Here is the pdf about what a CertiCard is. http://www.goldbarsworldwide.com/PDF/RT_9_Certiline_Gold_Bar_Packaging.pdf
Certicard is becoming a bit of an "aspirin" name - it occasionally gets incorrectly used in reference to non-Certiline products. Go to the World Money Fair in Berlin and you can visit their booth and see empty examples of the cards they produce for many mints.
The first bars is not a certicard, just some plastic packaging for our minted bars. I have asked around and we haven't got anyone who can remember when minted bars were first issued in that packaging. The second bar is in certicard and were released in various sizes during Aug/Sept 2009. The third bars, the black certicard packaging was first released in February 2015 and progressively phased in as we ran out of minted bars in the older green certicard packaging. The Perth Mint has two "Chief Assayer" - one in the refinery and one in the mint. The person "signing" the minted bar packaging is our mint assayer and has been with us for many years, that is why the signature doesn't change.
It would add a lot to the cost I think to have different sized packaging for each size bar, the reason for that larger size is that we can use the same back part and only have to change the front plastic to suit the bar size. That keeps costs down as we can bulk order the back part.
Thanks Bron, for getting back to me so soon with the enquiries. Will the Chief Assayer name be reveal?
Thanks Bron Anyway I will Nickname this Chief Assayer by the Nickname - Raol Khan This name will ring a bell.
