Regarding 1oz Kookaburra , Lunar and Koala bullion coins . I would like to know the type of round capsule the Perth mint used when they stopped using the square type . Does the first capsule used have the two half moon cut outs on the outer rim edge and if so when did they stop using them . The coin capsules currently being used have no cut out half moons on the outer edge rim . I have contacted Perth Mint and unfortunately they were of no help . Appreciate any historic advice from members . Trying to put together a genuine original set in all aspects , the issued year coins in their original capsules . Thanks .
There are square capsules 1 oz & 2 oz Kookaburras ; also 1 oz & 2 oz round capsules Kookaburras. ( up until today - two types round ) The Koalas always in round capsules for Ag. ( up until today - two types round ) For Lunars S2 - round capsules till current, there are two types up till today. Airtite may not fit some type. Ie , some lunar Au version , some lunar S2 ...
