Hey all, a family friend got this bar from AEJ the other day and i noticed it doesn't have the 9999 stamp on the back unlike every other one iv seen.
on the Perth Mint site it shows there is a 9960 & a 9999 bar. how do we know what this is? does anyone else have a bar with no 9999 stamp on it?

bar with no 9999 bar with 9999 as shown on the Perth Mint web site

    Its a fake.

Send it to me & I will take care of its disposal.

Otherwise it is an An Enigma Shrouded in Mystery & worth $$$$$$$$$

Hope Sherlock Holmes & Watson can work this one out.

    Good luck.

i don't think its a fake as iv looked at the front logo stamp under a magnifying glass and the design is flawless.

Also if it was fake it would be crazy to think someone went to great efforts to copy the main logo then forget to ad 9999 on the back :p

Iv sent an email to Perth Mint and hope they can shed some light on this.

do you have the one without the 9999? If so is it 99.6% or 99.99% pure?

Trust AEJ to have some obscure piece of bullion that no one else has ever heard about/seen before!

Ok so i got an email back from Perth Mint and this is what they wrote:

"The bar appears to be 9960 purity, as bars of 9999 purity will have it stamped on them."

So looks like AEJ are selling 99.6% bars and claiming them as 99.99%

Should be a $5 discount. Fortunately the difference is that small.
