retail has grown for so many years; it's had a very good run. To be honest, I've wondered why growth hasn't slowed or contracted far earlier. Gov policies are due to a lot of the costs, but you know, there's only so much importing from slaves and expecting to mark it up in the first world that you can do before it catches up to you (jobs and living standards-wise). Nobody seems to get that. We can't have our cake and eat it too; there will be (and are) repercussions. Gov wealth-extraction policies for the local slaves don't make it any easier of course. Seen a lot of those drive-thru coffee places lately. They must be growing.
