Am I missing something or is that 2004 bear supposed to be ms70? who graded it Ray Charles? Nice coin!! dave 92029, I would be darn tempted to resend that o4 bear in to Ngc with a note attached,PUT ON YOUR GLASSES THIS TIME..............
Thanks, but this is exactly why I will not spend the much larger premium on MS70 graded coins. I can't SEE any difference between MS69 and MS70. This is a pretty coin with lots of fine detail. When I look at the Pandas I have bought, I laugh to myself, because I think about how many people make fun of things "Made in China".
I can't even see the difference between a 68 and a 70... But I still buy 70s because there will always be collectors who strive for perfection and will push up prices with their demand. At 2-3x the MS69 price, 70s are good. But I am not paying $3000 for a S10Y MS70 panda when the MS69 is only $150.
Received 2006 Beijing Expo panda today from Post office Absolutely stunning!!, No wonder it is sold for $300 on average This is one of the coin that I won't sell regardless the price (unless for 3x the current price )
I dragged a few coins out of my deposit box for grading. Thought I would share a few snaps while they were in OMP. Sorry the photos are not great, it is hard to get the right contrast. 1989 Zhao Gongming Medal - Not all of these will be sent for grading, but since they have been popular here recently would share my collection. 1993 Large Date - Full Sheet 1998 Large Date - 6 Singles - These are getting harder and harder and harder to find. 1994 Large Date x5 Small Date x5 - These are one of the harder years to pick the date differences. Note the difference between the Shanghai and Shenyang sealing marks.
That's an amazing collection Zinger. That's almost 10k worth of MCC! I love the 98 bears, have a LD/SD set myself in OMP
