Think it's real, 1991 is a weird year. The "large date" is the height being larger and the "small date" is shorter but wider. Confusing
Use the certification number to look it up on the ngc website. There's pics of the obverse/reverse that you can view in actual size and compare.
Hi Thor Coin is authentic 1991 large and small date are easy to distinguish. The large dates have a serif at base of the "1" and the small date does not
Dont like the straight in the temple. The steps are irregular And the date the two 1 are in the same nivel but diferent than the two 9 But i saw a lot of photos in internet and i think is only bad quality control in 1991 (all have the same defects) Thanks to all for your opinion. Now im more tranquilo(quiet)
Thanks for the idea But if you use any foto of ebay you can copy the correct number Is more easy than make a coin
Sorry I may have misunderstood. I thought you had already bought it and the coin was in your hands. Hence the suggestion to look up the certification number on the ngc website. But if you haven't bought it yet, I guess the best is to let the more experienced Panda collectors here decide as they have done so.
Thor, has it been graded lrg or sml date by NCG? I don't have the BU version 1991 so actually I'm not much help here assessing the date, thanks Sir Comeaux ! The reverse and the temple however appear authentic. Very nice, alway like the 91 design... was the first proof I bought.
I have the coin in my hands I look in ngc site and the number is correct. But someone can swap the 1991LD original for 1991 fake Or the ngc container is sealed with security? I think is better to ngc put other hologram. And if the container is open this hologram break.
But aren't the pictures on the website taken by NGC themselves and hence would be the original? That's why I suggested comparing the coin in your hand with the pic on their website to see if the coin has been swapped or its the original that was submitted to NGC.
I don't know if you have tried this yet or not but when you click on a pic or click the enlarge link, this brings up a new window with the pic in lower def. In the new window, you can now press the 'f' key or move to the lower right where you will see an option to view the pic in actual size.
