Depends on the value of what you are selling, but unless it was some small say $50 item I was prepared to lose or fight with the buyer and paypal over, I would probably steer clear. If you can get the money up front not through paypal (Western Union?? / bank transfer etc) or could somehow shift to an off-ebay transaction (so it's out of the paypal domain and no chance of bad feedback on ebay) maybe I'd think about it. But even then I'd probably be hard pressed to agree..
No problems with sending things to Russia It's actually "Italy " that is the Issue Even the manager at my local PO said that Italy is suspect
Hi, I have sent quite a few coins that I sold on ebay to Russia over the years. I only do so if the buyer agrees to pay for registered or insured mail that gives me a proof of sending and a signature on delivery. Never had a problem. However I would refuse to send it via standard airmail as they can scam you via paypal. It will be your word against theirs and unfortunately paypal will always side with the buyer and you will lose the payment unless you can provide a tracking number. I agree, Italy has a very suspect postal system due to thieving and customs trying to extort import duties. I have noticed many ebay sellers refuse to send to Italy.
shipping: registered mail only or better paypal gift preferable be ready to wait for the item to be shipped I ship all the time to Russia ... registered mail - 100% success rate, BUT my two items I've sent month ago still not delivered and not trackable. The same issue is with other parcels sent from other countries to Russia. So the question is still remains if the parcels are stolen or due to New Year's holidays they are just being delayed.
