I recently read a comment by a fellow Panda brother, Thor122: "For the newbie is Better pay a few bucks more and have it from trusted sellers:yennus, maggie, comeaux, fishball and a few more and its better if the panda is ncs/ngc (protection for later degrading) I think the 2009 panda in ms69 is selling for less than 100 uss each. Saw the last ebay auctions in usa. I make a lot of buys before i know the ss and ccf people in ebay. I try to ncs and ngc the better coins but i think they do notmhave good grades. Now is a good time to buy ms69s because the omp price plus ngc fees is similar than 69s" Thor122 makes a good observation (and recommendation! *thanks*). The recent plateau in Panda pricing has made a good opportunity for those who do their homework. There are so many graded coins that are selling near OMP pricing (or even occasionally below), that when the Panda (or silver) market starts to rise even higher, I think many of us will be wishing we had held onto more graded bears. Especially the MS69s and MS70s.
All. but if you like have more coins the 1989, 1996 and 1997 are good buys for less than 170/150 uss. 1989 mintage 255.000. Price 170 or less 1996 mintage 250.000 ( including LD and SD) if they minted half and half are 125.000 for numismatic thing the mintages. ( the prices are similar for now) prices 150/170 or less 1997 idem 1996 but now are very hot and more expensive than 1996(175 uss) 2009 mintage 600.000 price in ms69 100 uss
