I would be looking for food and water. what good is that crap going to but suck power and mind time? One dude looks as if he is going to go after the looter and take the box. SAD......
:|I have a saying "if it is free it is me" but that is going a step to far....... I do not understand that mentality, it is steeling from someone. Actually that video reminds me of my ex wife taking the fridge, TV, washing machine, couch, kitchen table, microwave, all the cutlery except for the crap stuff......... The food out of the cupboards...... On a positive note she left the carpet.
I wouldn't be too impressed if I was the owner of the shop either. Sometimes you gotta laugh at the obsurd, otherwise you get angry or depressed at seeing people stoop to lows like that. Robbing a store like that is obsurd as boneyard mentioned. Yes! It is sad.
One of the comments on the actual YT page of the video claims the government announced that this store/company was fair game for redistributions. Probably, you know, for doing business in a way where they were charging a fair market price that factored in government-created inflation.
Zero Hedge reported that several of the company's store managers have been arrested by the police and are being held on trumped up charges with no trial date. The retail chain's owners and upper management just want their employees/friends out of jail...whatever the cost. So they're not standing in the way of these idiots. The biggest victims of this development are those very people looting the store. The Venezuelan Govt imports consumer goods and puts them on sale (at subsidised prices) in govt 'appliance stores'. But like most communist/socialst states only a select few (based on your 'connections' or waiting in a virtual cue), are actually allowed to buy these goods. Like how Russians had to wait 10 years in a cue to buy a TV or car, or 20yrs for an appartment to be come available. To short cut this, DAKA imports (imported) the goods themselves and puts them onsale at the full exchange rate (no Govt subsidy) for Venezueleans, exposing the real inflation and devaluation of the country's currency. For that, they're being punished.
