A lot of those new to the game of stacking gold worry about how to store it. If, like me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mvICkfD2E4), you are a small time player - to you I say worry not. How can I say this? Well I was going to post a new video onto youtube of my slightly diminished stack. I pulled all my coins out of the small box I keep them in when it felt like I'd been punched in the stomach as it dawned on me that my two 1 oz Krugerrands were missing. I pulled out all the stuff I keep in my ***le safe and still couldn't find them. F*** F*** F***, where the F*** could they be? I was almost physically sick when I realised that the second hiding spot I had I'd thrown away in my quest for minimalistic lifestyle. 20 minutes of anguish later and I returned to my small coin box in despair. $3k isn't a lot to some but to me we're talking 18 Saturdays overtime working with chemicals, boiling water, steam, slippery fat and no sir, I do not like it one little bit. I look again and praise Jeebus there they are, under a little flap from where I'd built divider screens to keep the coins separate (I love to have things organised) PHEW So be rest assured. If I can lose 2 ounces of gold in a small box you should be able to hide coins very easily around your abode
good job on min wage nugget well deserved . I bet you feel you earned every gram of that good luck with the future stack
Lol. I know the feeling but not with metals, but a phone that I last used a month ago. I never took it out of the house and yet it is absolutely nowhere to be found. I keep trying to retrace my steps to no avail. We think my niece might have thrown it in the bin because she was in a phase recently of being excited to be able to throw things in the bin. We're a bit to blame because we would give her little things to throw away etc. for her enjoyment. On another note I have twice recovered my wedding ring. Once on the lawn where it had dropped from hanging out the clothes and the second time the next day after work away from home where I'd had to remove it. Just lucky.
Your video inspired me... I will make one myself when my one year anniversary comes up... I registered here on the 7/7/2010. now to see how much shiny stuff I can get a hold of by then
An oldie, but a goodie. Excellent choice of music too. I share the pain of having to liquidate though, it's for sure a heart sinking experience when it happens
