I was wondering other than the ATO, if there is any watchdog or Ombudsman that deals specifically with supefunds? I have been having ongoing issues with an old superfund not complying with my request to rollover my super to my current fund. A simple process that according to ATO guidlines should take 30 days has been going on for over 6 months now with no resolution in sight. Thanks
IOOF Holdings. For the first 3 months my current superfund had made repeated requests for my benefits to be transferred. At first they stated that they hadn't received the requests before stating that my requests had been received but misplaced, each time meaning I would have to fill in a new request with my current fund. It's at the point where they are ignoring my emails. I've kept records of all corrospondance and intended to make a complaint, but I've been holding off in the hope of getting my benefits first. I've also found what I was looking for in the superfund ombudsman
Keep a track of your hours spent on this, plus any hard expenditure. I'd be chasing consequential damages.
Maybe your super is one of their high earning (their fees mean they are on a winner cause you can't escape) frozen funds   http://www.ioof.com.au/__data/asset...2_IOOF_Frozen_and_illiquid_funds_Feb_2013.pdf Kind Regards non recourse
