Hi All, As I am new to the stacking game and the forum I was wondering if any Kiwis have purchased silver thru NZ Silver in Auckland. I am currently living in Asia and wanting to get a stack stacking and as silver is not sold here I was thinking might as well go thru a dealer in my home country. If there are any helpful hints in purchasing using this method it would be much appreciated. Well happy stacking and thanks in advance Darren
So I'm guessing no one has used NZ Silvers services in aquiring bullion on behalf in NZ. Thanks for looking and happy stacking!
Never did but last time I visited Thailand the place was overflowing with Sterling Silver so perhaps that's an alternative. I have a friend that essentially pays for her holiday buying sterling jewellery in Bangkok then brings it back here for a tidy profit. Just went & had a squiz at the NZ silver site, something up there seems they aren't selling single coins atm ?
I haven't used NZ Silver but can recommend New Zealand Mint, Regal Castings and BullionNZ (http://www.bullionnz.com). BullionNZ is the only private seller I'm aware of who provides fully insured shipping. Some other dealers who I haven't used before but you might want to check out: http://goldsurvivalguide.co.nz/buy-silver-nz/ http://www.gogold.co.nz http://www.mygold.co.nz Gold Survival Guide started out as a non-profit email newsletter providing useful information to those new to precious metals investing. Recently they struck a deal with a New Zealand gold and silver refiner to offer bullion at low premiums and they get a small cut.
Never used NZ silver either. Are you having it shipped from Auckland to Thailand? If so, will probably be cheaper to get it from Australia and have it shipped to you.

Thank you all for your information. After having sent emails requesting information I finally purchased through gogold in Auckland, they were fine dealing 100% over internet once explaining my situation.I was buying to store in NZ. Strangley a couple of other dealers including the soverigned named establishment didn't answer their own wesite contact page or personal email.Maybe their site screens ip locations and considered mine suspect. Someone mentioned in the thread of importing sterling from Thailand to Aus I'm assuming it's jewellery,my question is could I take it into a dealer in say Brisbane and sell the lot at melt price like gold? Also is there varying grades? Thanks again Happy Stacking Peace Well thanks again all for your help
If you are after > = 500 oz orders, NZSilver is brokering these with some of if not the lowest premiums in NZ. Specialising in Monster box or 10 X 100 JM ingots import orders. (our shop is online only) www.nzsilver.com
Cant speak highly enough of the guys at Regal Casting http://www.regal.co.nz/ I buy through them weekly. Shipping is fully insured and very reasonable. They have been great with smaller orders too, I can email the an order for a single 0z coin and its delivered next day. Mainly stock Perth mint products.
I also know someone who heads off to Thailand and comes back with really thick heavy chunky sterling sliver bracelets which he gets for next to nothing. I don't know enough about that sort of thing to not get ripped off, I guess if you bought it from a reputable dealer you would be ok. I was at a gem show recently and found some filled sterling bracelets in sterling, they were dirt cheap too but apparently only the outside was silver, the insides were another metal. It wasn't plated but it wasn't solid silver either. You probably wouldn't need to take it to a dealer because I am sure I read somewhere on this forum that some would only offer half the spot price for sterling. Quite a bit of sterling and jewellery gets sold on this site, if you get it cheap enough you can always sell it at a reasonable price and buy pure silver with the proceeds.
Mygold doesn't have a shop in Wellington but they ship to NZ wide. If you are looking to buy silver or Gold, visit their website at http://www.mygold.co.nz Cheers!
