I find it rather a worry. What makes it worse, they are serious in legitimising their business selling fake everything. Reminds me of the Bong Shops that used to be around selling everything to do with weed, but not actually supplying the real McCoy. In one part of their spiel they even say that these bars will become valuable. Maybe they should try and do a deal with the funny money central bankers instead. Would never buy Gold from China. Seems too easy to get stung. Stick with the locals.

More reason to stick to coins. Bars are becoming too risky unless bought from a reputable dealer that has also XRFd or at least tested buy backs.

    I do not think so.
Heaps of fake good coins out there too.
Can't recall the youtube videos I saw, but you would not be able to see the difference.

At least you can ultrasound test a bar, not a coin.

i should have clarified, stick to 999 government issued coins from PM, etc.

Sovereigns, krugs and the like do get counterfeited.

Buy direct from mint or known dealers.

There is a sh##load of suspect coins & bars on the market.

    Be alert & alarmed.

As per XRF reading (front, back & side) it is around 94% to 96% of copper.
