Notgeld coins

    Was fascinated by one of these today and had to have it. German ceramic coins/tokens called Notgeld (emergency money). Issued during 1922 - 23 the German hyperinflation. Stores would issue the coins to allow people to quickly convert their government issued money into tokens redeemable for goods such as fuel & groceries.

    Does anyone else collect these or know more about them? I'm still trying to find out what this token was redeemable for and who issued it.
