Not receiving Forum Emails

    I'm having an issue where I am not receiving any SS forum emails at my email account. Could someone please reply to this thread so I can test and see if my alternate email account is working?

    Did you check all email notifications in preferences and contact details with whatever preferences…? Seems to work for me.

    I thought that it was a known issue where it works for some members but not for others. I haven't gotten a forum email in a few years.

    Automated emails from the forum software to alert you to things like private messages arriving in your in-box or responses to threads that you have subscribed to.

    Depending on your email app, SS emails maybe going to your Junk folder.

    Hi all, this is most likely an issue with the email and server configurations that silver stackers is hosted on - not necessarily your personal email settings ;)

    I am also experiencing this issue.
    Usually I receive emails every day when a new thread is posted. I haven’t received any emails from silverstackers since 16/1/2024

    Thankfully emails are working for me again as of yesterday.

    All emails coming into my secondary account are being automarked as "SPAM", so there is definitely something wrong with the site email configuration.

    1. The site fails the reverse DNS test e.g. https://www.debouncer.com/reverse-dns-check?ip=silverstackers.com
    2. The site has no DMARC record and the SPF record appears incorrect.

    The email itself also explains other reasons it was flagged as spam in the message header --- I've included those relevant ones here:

    0.4 NO_DNS_FOR_FROM DNS: Envelope sender has no MX or A DNS records
    1.0 KAM_LAZY_DOMAIN_SECURITY Sending domain does not have any anti-forgery methods
    0.0 KAM_DMARC_STATUS Test Rule for DKIM or SPF Failure with Strict Alignment
    2.0 RDNS_NONE Delivered to internal network by a host with no rDNS
