I just finished getting my daily dose of the Australian Financial Review and find it somewhat amusing.. The mainstream media is linking Bernankes backpedaling and low interest rates (very close to zero) to the increasing price of gold (and to a lesser extent, Silver). The amusing part is that the author of the article (I forget name) claimed that while he was NOT bullish on silver, he suspected the price rise was due to the affordability of the metal for buyer in such countries as China who have been hedging against inflation.

Do they REALLY think it is only the Chinese doing this? **Cough Cough.. JMP shorting**. What are the thoughts of others?
